UCD have continued to develop their relationships with the local football community by making a visit to neighbours Mount Merrion FC's academy. Â Students boss Martin Russell, UCD AFC's mascot Collee and members of the club's First Team squad made the short trip up the road to Mount Merrion's training Academy recently. Russell directed a training session with over 50 boys and girls involved. The essential skills of shooting, dribbling and passing were all covered with the kids encouraged to try out their own skills in the small sided games. The first team squad wrapped up the event with a display of their own skills. An impromptu game of head tennis saw some dazzling tricks and flicks pulled off with Dean Marshall covering himself in glory. Collee and all the kids had a ball and everyone at UCD AFC would like to thank the children, parents and coaches at Mount Merrion for such a wonderful welcome! |
