Bermingham joins St. Pat's

St. Patrick's Athletic have snapped-up Ireland Under-21 international defender Ian Bermingham. The highly-regarded left back becomes the Saints' tenth signing of the winter transfer window.

Bermingham joins St. Pat's from Shamrock Rovers, where he spent one year following his move from UCD. He will be reunited at Richmond Park with Pete Mahon, his former manager at UCD.

With fellow left-back Enda Stevens having moved from St. Pat's to Rovers, Bermingham's move the other way effectively marks a straight swap between the two clubs.

Mahon's new-look Saints squad is taking shape, with Gary Rogers, Andy Haran, Damian Lynch and Stuart Byrne all re-signing at the club, while Brian Cash, David McAllister, Derek Pender, Gareth Coughlan and Conor Sinnott have all also signed-up for the 2010 campaign.
