| Cook praises players following Showgrounds draw |
|
Sligo Rovers boss Paul Cook has praised the attitude of his players following their draw with champions Bohemians. The Bit O' Red manager has said that his team is improving week-by-week following a slow start to the season. Four points against Derry City and Bohemians in their last two matches are proof that Sligo Rovers are a match for anybody in the division, he said. "I thought the lads were terrific to a man," he said of Saturday's draw in the Showgrounds. "I can't praise them enough. We started the season very slowly but we are picking up a points now. And to draw against a team like Bohemians, you have to play well. "They are a very strong team with good players all over the pitch. They don't give goals away and they score loads. "Every point you pick up in the league is a bonus. To play against Derry and Bohs and pick up four points, for us, is magnificent. And it is all due to the players, they attitude and application." |
