Lynch moves to Sligo

SLIGO ROVERS have announced the signing of midfielder Lee Lynch for the 2012 Airtricity League season.

The Bit O'Red confirmed on their website that Lynch had agreed a move from Drogheda United to the Showgrounds.

The Limerick native previously spent over two years with West Bromich Albion and was a member of the Glenn Hoddle Academy in Spain before the move to Hunky Dorys Park.

Lynch, 20, has agreed a one-year-deal with Paul Cook's side. He is a former Republic of Ireland under-19 international.

Paul Cook said: “Lee is an exciting young player and already has experience in the league with Drogheda. He is ambitious and I think he will enjoy being part of our side. We will be exploring more options in midfield but I think in Lee we have a player who can play a good part in what we're trying to do this season.”
