TICKETS for next week's UEFA Under-21 Championship clash between the Republic of Ireland and Hungary are to go on sale at Saturday's FAI Ford Cup clash between Sligo Rovers and Monaghan United.

Priced at €5 for adults and €2 for children, the Group 7 fixture against the Hungarians is expected to be a sell out at the Showgrounds on Thursday, September 1 (7.30pm).

Noel King's under-21 side beat Austria at the same venue in a friendly game earlier this month.

Wigan Athletic midfielder James McCarthy and Manchester United starlet Robbie Brady have been named in King's squad for the opening game of the qualifying tournament.
