Clarke moves to Showgrounds

SLIGO ROVERS have announced the signing of goalkeeper Brendan Clarke.

 

The Dubliner has agreed a one-year contract with the FAI Ford Cup winners after having his contract cancelled by the now defunct Sporting Fingal.

Ex-Cherry Orchard schoolboy Clarke previously played with St Patrick's Athletic and had a successful loan spell at Waterford United.

Rovers have also announced that young striker Mark McGoldrick has agreed a two-year contract with the club.

Former Summerhill College student McGoldrick has impressed in pre-season, including a two-goal haul against Castlebar Celtic last weekend.

Former Galway United and Bohemians striker Aaron Greene has also joined the Bit O’Red for 2011.
