Hoops out for revenge
A huge match at the Brandywell Stadium sees title rivals Derry City host Shamrock Rovers. Both sides are on 21 points going into this fixture, five behind league leaders Cork City.

Ger O’Brien returns to the Derry City squad after recovering from a hamstring injury and the full back could line-out against his former club. Clive Delaney and Gareth McGlynn have both returned to training but are unlikely to play any part in this fixture, while Mark McCrystal is suspended.

The Hoops travel north on the back of a fantastic victory over Bohemians last weekend. Sean Webb (back) remains sidelined, while skipper Shane Robinson is also out of action having suffered a hamstring injury during the Bohs match. However, Ian Bermingham, who has been sidelined with a calf injury for several weeks, is available for selection.

"It’s yet another big game for us, just six days after beating Bohemians," said Hoops manager Michael O'Neill. "Of course we’re looking forward to it but we are fully aware of how difficul the game will be.

“Derry City were the first team to beat Shamrock Rovers in Tallaght, so obviously we’d like to exact revenge for that. We’ll certainly be looking for all three points.â€
