| Massive travelling support boosts Hoops in Tallinn |
|
SHAMROCK ROVERS have been a given a massive boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with FC Flora in Tallinn - the home support is set to be dwarfed by the visiting Hoops fans. Michael O'Neill's side go into the second qualifying round second leg defending a 1-0 lead from the home leg and knowing that a meeting with Danish stars FC Copenhagen awaits the winners. The Airtricity League champions are set to boost more than 500 supporters against the Estonians on Tuesday after a green and white horde found their way to the Baltic nation to support their heroes. Rovers have not included striker Karl Sheppard in their travelling party due to his ankle injury. Manager O'Neill has also confirmed that the game will most likely be goalkeeper Alan Mannus' last for the club. The Northern Ireland international has been strongly linked with a move to Scottish side St Johnstone and Rovers have already agreed a deal to bring former Sligo Rovers keeper Richard Brush to Tallaght Stadium. "We've had more preparation time now, than we did for the first tie," said O'Neill. "The players have had a chance to see the Flora Tallinn players in the flesh and we got some footage from their game at the weekend. "Everyone is feeling positive about the game and looking forward to it now." |
