Hoops add four more to squad

Shamrock Rovers manager Michael O'Neill has added four new players to his squad ahead of the Hoops debut campaign in the Tallaght Stadium, including Ireland Under-21 full-back Ian Bermingham.

Bermingham, who is regarded as one of the league's up and coming players, as caps at Under-19 and Under-21 level for his country and joins the Hoops from UCD.

He will be joined at the Tallaght Stadium by Scottish duo Greg Cameron and Gary Twigg, and Northern Ireland international Sean Webb. Cameron joins Rovers on loan from Dundee United, while Gary Twigg signs from Brechin City.

Earlier in the year, Rovers announced the signings of Shane Robinson, Ollie Cahill and Stephen Bradley, all of whom will boost the Hoops' midfield.

The club has re-signed Robert Duggan and Simon Madden, both of whom were out of contact at the club having impressed during their first year in the league.

O'Neill released some players from their contracts in order to free-up space for the new signings, while the sale of highly-rated full-back Ger O'Brien to Derry City also brought funds into the club.

Rovers will kick-off life in Tallaght Stadium on March 13th when they face Sligo Rovers in a match that will be broadcast live on RTE Two.
