Murphy joins the Hoops
Shamrock Rovers today completed the signing of Danny Murphy, the former Cork City defender. This brings to six the number of close season signings made by Michael O’Neill.

“We’re delighted to add Danny to our squad,” says the Hoops’ boss. “Along with Dan Murray, he’s been outstanding in Cork City's defence and is an excellent professional.”

Murphy (27) had two spells at Cork City (2004 and 2008), and previously played for English clubs Queens Park Rangers, Swindon Town, and Margate. Between 2007 and 2008 he played for Scottish sides Motherwell and Dunfermline Athletic.

Shamrock Rovers’ signings to date are: James Chambers, Billy Dennehy, Danny Murphy, Dan Murray, Enda Stevens and Craig Walsh.
