Biography


Mick Cooke was appointed to the position of manager of Monaghan United in September 2003, replacing Bobby Browne. He had previously been the manager of the Republic of Ireland Senior Women’s side.

As a player, Cooke distinguished himself with a string of top clubs. He began his career with St. Patrick’s Athletic and later enjoyed spells with Drogheda United, Shamrock Rovers and Galway United.

Having retired from playing, Cook spent several seasons in charge of the Republic of Ireland’s senior women’s side. He also spent three seasons as Assistant Manager at Shamrock Rovers during Damien Richardson’s spell as manager of the club.
