| Lilywhites sail on through |

Early goals from Ger Rowe and Shaun Kelly took the sting out of First Division Mervue at Terryland Park as Dundalk eased through to the fourth round. Â Rowe collected Tiernan Mulvenna's cross to shoot past Eoin Martin after just three minutes. Â Kelly added to Dundalk's lead six minutes later when getting clear to shoot past Martin. Â Mervue made a fight of it when David Goldbey got a goal back on 64 minutes, rounding two defenders to score. Â But veteran striker Declan O'Brien nipped Mervue's revival in the bud with Dundalk's third, killer goal on 80 minutes. |
