Dundalk announce special promotions

DUNDALK FC have launched two special promotions for the upcoming visits of UCD and Cliftonville to Oriel Park.

The Lilywhites have a special Family Evening event planned for this Friday, when UCD come to Oriel Park, as a special advance celebration of Mother’s Day.

Special free children tickets for U14s are being distributed through Primary Schools and are also available in advance from Oriel Park. Each free child must be accompanied by a paying adult, with an additional accompanying Mother admitted free of charge. So if Mum and Dad and Junior come along with a special kid’s ticket, only one ticket must be bought.

Dundalk FC have also introduced a special discounted ticket offer for the Setanta Sports Cup semi-final second leg tie with Cliftonville at Oriel Park on Monday 18 April. All tickets bought this week are available at €10 for either stand or ground, with U14s only €5. This special offer includes all tickets bought from either the Oriel Park ticket office during normal office hours this week or from the Ticket Desk in the Merchandise Shop during the UCD game.

Manager Ian Foster told www.dundalkfc.com: “We have already played nine competitive games this year and the club is aware that that is a huge financial strain on supporters,” Foster said, “especially with the times that we find ourselves in. The Board have put together two promotions for two of our next three home games, and hopefully supporters will see what we are trying to do here and come out and continue to support us.

"The Mother’s Day and kid’s promotions will hopefully add to the occasion against UCD this weekend, and the €10 special for the Cliftonville game will hopefully see a full house at Oriel Park. For the second leg of a cup semi-final, it is tremendous value. I’m looking forward to a great atmosphere at both games.”

Newly appointed Dundalk FC Board member Ciarán Bond said: “This is a way of thanking the regular fans for their great loyalty and support for the team and club in difficult times. We also hope that it will attract the large floating supporter who has a keen eye for both great value and a very special sporting occasion. Cup semi-finals do not come along too often and this being the decisive second leg against Cliftonville in the prestigious Setanta Sports Cup it should be a very special night on Oriel Park.”
