Galway appoint Connor as manager
Sean Connor has been appointed manager of Galway United for the 2010 season. The ex-Dundalk boss replaces Ian Foster, who himself replaced Connor as Dundalk manager.

Connor will be officially unveiled as manager of the Tribesmen today (Monday). He brings a wealth of experience to the job, having managed Sligo Rovers, Bohemians and Dundalk.

Under his reign, Sligo Rovers won promotion to the Premier Division and established themselves as a force in the top flight. Connor then moved to Dalymount Park to take over Bohemians, guiding the club to the League of Ireland Cup final.

He then took over at Dundalk for the 2009 season but left his post after one season.

With the 2010 season due to kick-off on March 5th, Connor will waste no time in assembling his squad ahead of the new campaign.
