| Connor salutes in-form Turner |
|
Dundalk manager Sean Connor has stated that he rates Chris Turner as the best midfielder in the country following his brace against Sligo Rovers. Â Having signed the player for three different clubs (Sligo, Bohemians, Dundalk), Connor has no doubts about the ability of the former Coventry City youngster. Â Turner has certainly repaid the faith shown in him by his manager with numerous stand-out performances this season and crucial goals from midfield, including some vital penalty kicks. Â "I've never seen a man as good at taking penalties under pressure. And the winning goal was a superb strike," said Connor after the 4-3 win over Sligo. Â "He wasn't playing well in the first-half, but he dug deep and drove us forward in the second-half. Â "In my opinion, he is the best midfielder in the country." |
