Drogheda announce shares plan
Wednesday, 12 January 2011 16:07

DROGHEDA UNITED fans are being urged to visit the club website to find out how they can play their part in preserving the club's future in senior football.

On its official website, www.droghedaunited.ie, the club issued a statement today regarding how those who are currently running the club plan to address its financials needs:

"In response to the challenges faced by Drogheda United, a group of people with a range of skills and a deep commitment have come together and are willing to work to put the club onto a sustainable basis. Having carried out a full review of the club structure and finances, even after minimising outgoings, there is a significant projected shortfall for the 2011 season."

The website provides details of how its fans and other interested parties can get involved in a new shares scheme. Visit www.droghedaunited.ie for further information.
