Hunky Dorys and Drogheda United announce new sponsorship
Thursday, 11 March 2010 18:04
Ireland's number one crinkle cut crisp, Hunky Dorys, and former Airtricity League Champions, Drogheda United FC, have announced a major two-year sponsorship deal for an undisclosed sum.

Under the terms of the deal, Drogheda's well known and well loved home, United Park, will be known as Hunky Dorys Park and the 1st and reserve team jerseys and shorts will carry the Hunky Dorys logo.

Speaking about the deal, long-time Director of the County Louth club, Vincent Hoey, expressed his gratitude to the team at Hunky Dorys: "As everyone knows, I have always had great faith in Drogheda United and see it now more than ever as a catalyst for hope and inspiration in these recessionary times. Hunky Dorys have demonstrated their extraordinary commitment to Drogheda United for at least the coming two years and share my vision and belief in our club. Hunky Dorys and Drogheda United have now formed a partnership that I believe will bring us both success".

Ray Coyle, founder and CEO of Largo Foods, added, "It gives me enormous pleasure to be associated with Drogheda United. Since Hunky Dorys became jersey sponsor in 2008, I have been struck by the level of commitment, passion and enthusiasm of those running the club. If there's one thing that Hunky Dorys and Drogheda United have in common, it's that both have an appetite for success".
