Daniel Lafferty moves to Burnley

DANIEL LAFFERTY has agreed a move from Derry City to English Championship outfit Burnley FC.

The 22-year-old left-back completed a move for an undisclosed fee following a successful trial with the Clarets.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international has agreed a two-and-a half year deal subject to international clearance.

Lafferty spent five years at Celtic from 2006 after emerging with Oxford United. He had a loan spell at Ayr United before joining his hometown club, Derry City in 2010.
