| Declan Devine appointed Derry City boss |
|
DECLAN DEVINE has been confirmed as the new manager of Derry City. Derry native Devine played for the Candystripes before moving into coaching and he was long term assistant to previous boss Stephen Kenny having worked with him since 2004 and also went to Dunfermline with the Dubliner in 2006. The club confirmed on its website that Devine has been handed a two-year contract by the Brandywell board and he will be assisted by former City player Paul Hegarty. Hegarty was previously manager of Finn Harps and also had a spell as assistant manager to Kenny at the Brandywell. |
