City sign O'Brien

Derry City have added to their squad, by signing Republic of Ireland U23 defender Ger O'Brien on a three year contract.

O'Brien - who can play at full-back or centre back - moves to the Brandywell from Shamrock Rovers.

The defender told reporters that the presence of Stephen Kenny at Derry City convinced him to make the move.

"Everyone knows that Stephen Kenny is such a good manager. He's brought success here and to most places he's been," said the defender.
