Cork and Sligo forced into replay

Cork City and Sligo Rovers have it all to do again after Sligo twice came from behind to take this FAI Ford Cup third round tie to a replay.

Playing their best football in some time Cork took the lead after 12 minutes when Shane Duggan headed home from a terrific delivery from Danny Murphy as Cork's slick passing and high tempo had Sligo struggling.

But credit to Paul Cook's side as Sligo responded to going behind very positively and almost immediately began to exert pressure on the home side, who were very lax after taking the lead.

They were actually only behind for four minutes as Steve Feeney forced the ball into the Cork net from a Rafael Cretaro flick on as Cork' defence was caught sleeping for once.

But Cork had more in them and retook the lead just past the half hour mark when Danny Murphy again provided the ammunition with a terrific cross from the left wing that saw Denis Behan steal in behind Gavin Peers and head home at the near post.

Sligo were not to be out done and the hugely impressive levelled proceedings when he drove home Owen Morrisson's cross to force the replay.
