| Fenlon backs Rebel Army to push on |
|
Pat Fenlon believes Cork City will continue to march up the table after recording their first win last weekend. The Leesiders travel to Dalymount Park this Friday to take on Bohemians, and Bohs boss Fenlon believes that Paul Doolin's side will prove formidable opposition. "Cork are a very decent team," said Fenlon. "Over the years in the league they have been one of the most consistent sides. They have lost a few players in the off season but they have managed to bring in one or two as well. They brought in two players from FK Riga, a side that Bohs’ fans will remember well. "That suggests to me that Cork have brought in some quality that will see them moving toward the upper reaches of the table. They have probably been a bit unlucky to lose the games they did but I don’t think they will be too far away from the top when it matters the most. Having said that, I believe that this is a game we can win. Despite the win last week, the performance left a lot to be desired. We need to raise our standards again and try to reach the level we played at against Rovers." Missing from the Bohemian engine room will be Gary Deegan who must serve the first match of a three game ban. Paul Keegan may swap his anchor position for a more adventurous role with Glen Cronin taking on the defensive duties in midfield. Neale Fenn is the only player who is doubtful through injury. It will take the former Cork City striker another week for his calf injury to heal so Jason Byrne and Glenn Crowe will renew their partnership up front. |
