Cork City FC wish to announce that the club has reluctantly accepted a bid for Graham Cummins from Preston North End for an undisclosed sum.

Graham is currently travelling to the UK to discuss personal terms.

The club do not wish to comment further on the matter at this time. Cummins was named First Division Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011 at the PFAI Awards.

Meanwhile, former Republic of Ireland international Colin Healy confirmed his return to the club over the weekend.

Healy, who has 13 caps for the Republic of Ireland and was on the verge of making the squad for the 2002 World Cup, joined the club in 2007 following spells at Celtic and Sunderland. He returned to English league football in January 2009 when he signed for Ipswich Town.

Speaking to CorkCityFC.net, City boss Tommy Dunne said: “We are delighted that Colin is back at Cork City Football Club. He is obviously a very talented player with a wealth of experience at the very top level of football, and he will be an excellent addition to our side.”

“He was an impressive performer in his previous spell with the club, and I am delighted that he has decided to come back home after a successful spell with Ipswich Town, and I am confident he will bring a lot to our squad.”

Healy, who signed after training this morning at the Fota Island Resort, said he was pleased to be back at City: “I am delighted to be back at Cork City. I know a lot of the players here from my previous spell at the club, and that will make it easy for me to settle in.”

“Obviously I have worked with Tommy before, when Paul (Doolin) was here, and I am looking forward to doing so again. I just want to crack on now, get back training and start playing games again.”
