Sullivan and Holland join Dunne's crew

CORK CITY have announced the signings of Vinny Sullivan and Simon Holland.

Sullivan, 29, returns to the Rebel Army after a couple of seasons with his native Waterford United.

The former Celtic striker played for City in 2006 under Damien Richardson. He signed for Cork boss Tommy Dunne ahead of Saturday's friendly with Cobh Ramblers.

Sullivan told corkcityfc.net: “I trained with the lads for the first time this morning and I would know a lot of them from my previous spell with the club. There’s a good squad here, and we are looking to push on from last season and fight for promotion.â€

City boss Dunne said: “Vinny is a good player, who has scored goals for Waterford in this division. He was here before, so he knows the club and he wanted to sign for the club which is important. He is an experienced player and offers us another option up front.â€

Holland, 19, has made his senior debut away to Finn Harps last season after progressing through the club's underage system.

Dunne added: “Simon is on the player development programme at UCC which is something we would like to get more of our players on. He is a talented young player who we believe can develop and offer something to the team.â€
