Goal hero Deasy signs professionl deal
Cork City's Under-20 goalscoring hero Paul Deasy has signed a two-year full-time deal with the club, it has been announced. The highly rated striker scored the winning goal for Cork City in the Under-20 final against Bohemians on January 25th and will now look to establish himself at senior level.

“I’m delighted to have signed a two year deal with Cork City," he said. "We had a great year last year with the Under 20’s and it was great to be given the chance to train with the first team in pre-season. Obviously I did well enough to impress Paul Doolin and while it has been hard to get used to full time training, it is helping me and hopefully I will get a chance to show what I can do.”

City manager Paul Doolin said that he had been impressed by Deasy in pre-season training: “A few of the young players came in to train with us in pre-season and they have done well. Paul has been training away and has done very well. He still needs to work on the physical side of things, but he gives us another option and hopefully the full time training will stand to him and he will continue to improve.”
