Rebel Army snap-up Duggan

 

Cork City has announced the signing of ex-UCD midfielder Shane Duggan. The 19-year-old Limerick native joins the Rebel Army has new manager Paul Doolin continues to build his squad for 2009.

“I’m delighted to have signed for Cork City," said Duggan. "I was at Plymouth for two years before coming back to sign for UCD in July. I’m looking forward to the start of the season and hopefully getting the chance to show what I can do.â€

Commenting on Duggan’s signing, City boss Paul Doolin said: “Shane was at UCD last season after coming back from England. I have been impressed that he has come down from Limerick every day to train with us and that showed real commitment. He’s done well in training, he’s a good little player and I’m pleased that we have signed him.â€
