Long called into Ireland U21 squad
Cork City defender Kevin Long has been called into the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad ahead of Tuesday night’s UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifier against Switzerland at the RSC, Waterford (kick-off 7.45pm).

Long replaces the injured Brendan Moloney, who has been ruled out of the game. This is the first time the 19-year-old has been called into the Under-21 squad.

The Cork City defender will link-up with the squad on Monday evening. Seamus Conneely of Galway United is already in the squad, while Jay O'Shea (formerly Galway United) and Seamus Coleman (formerly Sligo Rovers) also have strong links to the League of Ireland.
