Gormley: Bohs are the benchmark
Bray Wanderers manager Eddie Gormley has told his players that Bohemians are the benchmark for them to aim at.

The Seagulls fell to a 2-0 defeat to Bohemians on Friday night and Gormley says that the Gypsies showed why they are favourites to retain their League of Ireland title.

"No-one has given us the run-around like they have," he said. "They are by far the best side we've played this year. They just looked physically strong, their movement at times was excellent. They were a far superior side to us. our lads probably froze at the start but in the second half, when we did up it a couple of gears, they were still a far better side than we were. That's the benchmark for us to try to reach."

Bohs boss Pat Fenlon says that he is satisfied with the start to the season, but says that he is not surprised to be top of the table given the level of quality in his squa.

"I'm not surprised with the group of players we have because we have some very, very good players," he said. "I'm happy with the way we've started. Obviously, the Cork game was disappointing but we've bounced back from that and had some good results. We've got good defenders and as a team we work hard when we don't have the ball."
