Brennan to face fitness test

Stephen Brennan faces a late fitness test ahead of this Friday's trip to United Park before learning whether he will make his Bray Wanderers debut.

The defender joined Eddie Gormley's side over the winter break after a spell with St. Patrick's Athletic. Having missed last week's opening series of matches, Brennan should be fit for this Friday's trip to Louth.

Gormley was satisfied with how his side performed in their opening night scoreless draw against Shamrock Rovers, and he knows his side will have to work hard for a result against a Drogheda United team who performed well at the Brandywell last week.

"We got off to good start," said Gormley. "We probably shaded things and we must now keep the momentum going, which I think we will as we have great team morale.

"Going into Friday's game we know they have a new squad but it won't be easy. It's always a difficult place to go and get a result. We will have to work as hard as we possibly can. We will be going there to win as we will in all games this season but we know it will be tough".
